Michael J. Shannon, MDDr. Michael J. Shannon was born in Bremerton, Washington in 1971. He was raised in Montrose, Colorado most of his life. He graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular Biology. A graduate degree was obtained from Creighton University School of Medicine in 2000. He obtained his internship in General Surgery and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado in 2005.
Dr. Shannon entered private practice in northern Colorado out of residency and practiced for two years prior to moving to Cheyenne in the fall of 2007. He specializes in joint replacement surgery, sports medicine and trauma.
He enjoys all the outdoor activities Wyoming has to offer as well as his wife Brandy and three children. His interests include skiing, hiking, mountain biking, traveling, and attending athletic and community events in Wyoming.
